Instructions
Nok Out Odor Eliminator is not a cover-up, scent or enzymatic deodorizer, and cannot be used like other deodorizers. In order to convert the offending odor, it must contact the problem.
Nok Out Odor Eliminator is non-toxic, biodegradable, non-staining and non-corrosive. It is wonderful for those who suffer from allergies, since Nok Out is also hypoallergenic.
Listed below are simple instructions for the many uses for Nok Out:
Instructions For:
Airborne Odors
For odors such as perfumes, smoke, and cooking odors, simply spray the air affected to remove the odor. For larger areas (family rooms, kitchens, garages, etc.) or to eliminate musty air conditioner and duct odors, spray the air filters and/or use a power fogger routinely (every 10 days) to do the job best. The use of a humidifier with four (4) ounces Nok Out per gallon of water will also provide wonderful results in larger areas.
Bedding/Mattresses
Fog or spray the mattress or bed before placing bedding.
Carpets and Upholstery
IMPORTANT!! Test first on an inconspicuous area for color-fastness. Enzymes such as those found in Resolve and Nature's Way must be completely removed from the fibers prior to applying any Nok Out Odor Eliminator solution.
If vinegar or other acidic solution has been used to clean the area within the last 2-3 days, pre-treat with 1 - 1 1/2 tablespoons of baking soda to one (1) quart of water.
For simple odors, Nok Out Odor Eliminator may be sprayed directly onto carpeting using a dilution ratio of 473ml/16oz per 3.78L/1 gal of water.
Steam Cleaning Process:
a) Steam clean with water.
b) Test for colorfastness and steam clean with a Nok Out Odor Eliminator solution of 4-8 ounces of Nok Out to one (1) gallon of steam cleaning solution.
When using Nok Out in a carpet cleaning machine, add 473ml/16oz of NokOut Odor Eliminator to each 3.78L/ 1 gal of cleaning solution.
When steam cleaning, add 950ml./ 32oz of Nok Out Odor Eliminator to each 37L./ 10 gallons of steam cleaning solution.
Where animal urine or other body secretions have occurred and penetration has reached the hard surface under the carpet ... surface application may be tried by using Nok Out Odor Eliminator mixed 1:1 with water allowing deep penetration and standing time on the area.
For large areas, a power mister or fogger does the job. For isolated areas, pour or spray Nok Out Odor Eliminator on the area to the point of saturating the pad - there is no need to over-saturate, however.
Spray or pour Nok Out directly on concrete under padding for stubborn odors. To steam clean, add 4-8 ounces of Nok Out Odor Eliminator to each gallon of steam cleaning solution.
For long-standing problems, it is best to lift the carpet and replace that section of under padding. Use Nok Out Odor Eliminator on the hard surface full strength and completely soak the back of the carpet. Cat urine is one of the most difficult problems to eliminate, as you need to destroy the odorous bacteria as well as the ammonia salts.
Should you not want to lift the carpet, a syringe may be used to inject Nok Out Odor Eliminator (every 6-8 inches) thoroughly soaking the carpet and substrate, to about 1 inch larger than the odor area, then allow to air dry. This may have to be done more than once depending on the size and age of the odor source.
Cat Litter Boxes
Spray daily with Nok Out Odor Eliminator you'll have a litter box that smells like sunshine! Helps owners to control "finicky" cats that don't like a dirty box, and owners of more than one cat. Spray liberally on the bottom of your clean litter box and allow to air dry. Fill with litter, lightly spray the top of the litter. Spray the litter every day, when scooping waste.
Nok Out Odor Eliminator is odor free and leaves no remnant smell to offend your cats! Plus, Nok Out Odor Eliminator has a residual effect that continues to combat odors long after it has dried. It will extend the life of your litter (and save you money) because no odors will affront your pet and the box will remain sanitary and clean.
Catteries, Kennels and Handling Cages:
Spray the entire area liberally with Amazing Nok Out Odor Eliminator full strength (for the first application) using a ULV fogger (Ultra Low Volume) or a good quality spray applicator to saturate the air and keep odors from forming. Floors may be mopped with a solution of 236 ml/8 oz. Nok Out Odor Eliminator added to 3.78L/1 gallons water. Handling cages should be wiped down with a 50/50 dilution of Amazing Nok Out Odor Eliminator and water.
Cigarette and Cigar Smoke
Spray any surface necessary, such as ashtrays, autos, clothing, carpets, draperies, furniture, etc.
Clothing
Use directly on clothing to deodorize and effectively clean the area. (Test first on an inconspicuous area for color-fastness.) Great for those with allergies.
Counters, Floors, and Walls
For best results, fog the entire area regularly. Otherwise, spray or wash with a solution of 1/2 cup Nok Out Odor Eliminator per gallon of water.
Diaper Pails & Garbage Cans
Liberally spray the container.
Fishing Gear
Spray full strength Nok Out Odor Eliminator to your hands before handling fishing lures. Spray your car, boat and clothing before you return home.
Spray on fish guts and other parts of the fish before throwing them into the trash can. Eliminates odors from the trash can.
Finally, use Nok Out Odor Eliminator in your laundry to help eliminate fishy odors. Add about 4 ounces of Nok Out Odor Eliminator to the water of each load.
Garbage Disposals
Pour Nok Out Odor Eliminator directly into disposal.
Hard Porous Surfaces
Nok Out Odor Eliminator will eliminate odors resulting from long standing urine, vomit, mildew or similar foul smells found on all types of hard and porous surfaces such as linoleum, concrete or grouted surfaces.
Prior attempts with other cleaning solutions and/or commercial products must be removed. Apply a medium-strength baking soda and water solution to the affected area. Club soda can also be used with good effects. Allow this to air dry.
Bacteria and odor-causing salts which have seeped into the pores of concrete and tile grout will harbor foul odors, and must be displaced before the odor will be eliminated. Saturate the area with full strength Nok Out Odor Eliminator. It may be necessary to remove linoleum or tile grout to reach the subsurface, before complete elimination of odors takes place.
Repeat if necessary. Odor causing salts must be displaced before all odors are completely removed.
Hunting
Use Nok Out Odor Eliminator to erase the "Human" scent from you and your clothes to keep from being "winded" by deer.
Treat carcasses and hides with Nok Out Odor Eliminator to prevent odors from permeating your vehicle, truck, R.V., camper, ATV etc. when you get home.
Laundry
Add about 4 ounces of Nok Out Odor Eliminator to the water of each load of laundry in your machine.
Kennel Treatment
Add 6-8 oz of Nok Out Odor Eliminator per gallon of water to mop and wipe down kennel areas. Spray or fog a fine mist over the entire area and let dry. You will receive up to 24 hours of residual odor control. Make sure that you cover all areas of fencing, ceiling and walls when spraying kennels. Wash toys and food/water bowls with Nok Out Odor Eliminator. You may also mix 8 oz. of Nok Out Odor Eliminator per gallon of water and put in a cold vaporizer to control airborne odors. Let the vaporizer run for a maximum of 4 hours. Shut off and let NokOut Odor Eliminator work. For floor drains, pour 1-2 oz of full strength Nok Out directly into the drain.
Kitchen Smells - Onion, Fish, Garlic, Etc.
Simply spray your hands, cutting boards, knives, and the air after handing even the strongest odors such as onion, garlic, or fish.
- Bilge: Nok Out Odor Eliminator will eliminate the foul odors from bilge. Just spray all areas contaminated by bilge water and add 236ml /8oz per gallon of standing water left in the bilge areas. Repeat as necessary. Petroleum odors may require several applications.
- Heads: Spray Nok Out Odor Eliminator in waste basket and around head and sinks to eliminate urine and other unwanted odors. Nok Out Odor Eliminator will also control odors from the holding tank - just add 4 to 8 oz. per 20 gallons of black water to control odors.
- Galleys: Spray Nok Out Odor Eliminator in the air to eliminate cooking odors. Spray garbage containers. Use Nok Out Odor Eliminator to deodorize refrigerator spills and for general odor control in the galley area. Nok Out Odor Eliminator will eliminate fish, mildew and smoke as well as diesel odors.
- Mildew: Nok Out Odor Eliminator will eliminate the spores that cause mildew. Simply wash the mildew off the hard surfaces and spray again with Nok Out Odor Eliminator full strength. In areas that are prone to mildew growth, spray Nok Out Odor Eliminator on a weekly basis.
Microwaves, Ovens and Refrigerators
Wipe or spray on surfaces to remove odor. Will also assist in removing stubborn baked-on food. Remove shelving, glass trays, hydrators, and any removable sections. Wash with a 236ml/8 oz. Nok Out Odor Eliminator to 1.5L /2 qt water solution. Wipe all interior surfaces of the appliances with the same solution.
Pet Odors
Nok OutOdor Eliminator will not irritate the skin of dogs or cats, and is non-toxic. The pet can be sprayed liberally to generally deodorize the pet. Add 1 cup per gallon of bath water when bathing, or use as a final rinse additive.
- Use with flea dip or spray to help eliminate chemical odors. Nok Out Odor Eliminator can even be used to remove SKUNK odors!
- You can spray Nok Out Odor Eliminator directly on your pet's bedding every other day. When washing bedding and towels, add 8 oz of Nok Out Odor Eliminator to the laundry rinse cycle.
- Add Nok Out Odor Eliminator to pet shampoo, too!
Skunk Odors
If other products have been used, mix a solution of 3 heaping teaspoons of baking soda and 1/2 litre of warm water. Apply to all previously treated areas of the pet, making sure to soak the fur down to the skin.
Let stand for 15-20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and towel or blow dry. Then you may apply Nok Out Odor Eliminator as per the following instructions:
Soak the affected area full strength with Nok Out Odor Eliminator. Rub into the fur, making sure that the NokOut Odor Eliminator is making full contact with the skunk oil and the skin in the affected area.
If a dog has been sprayed in the face, pour or spray a small amount of Nok Out Odor Eliminator into your hand or a bowl and apply with your hand or a sponge to the face, making sure not to get the Nok Out Odor Eliminator in the dog's eyes. If the skunk smell has been transferred to your skin or clothing, remove it by spraying or washing the affected area with Nok Out Odor Eliminator.
Shoes & Sports Equipment

- Wash canvas shoes or sports equipment in the washing machine, and add 236 ml. / 8 oz. of "Nok Out" to the wash or rinse cycle!!
- If the shoes or sports equipment are not washable - spray liberally with "Nok Out" and let air dry. You may need to do this a couple of times if odors have been accumulating for a long time.
- Remove all contents from the gym bag, wipe down with a clean damp cloth, then spray full strength with "Nok Out". Once again it may require a second application.
- Add 236 ml. / 8 oz. to any wash load where odor may be of a concern.
- Spray clothing with "Nok Out" where odors have collected, to make them spring-time fresh!
- Spray under beds, on furniture, pet bedding, or anywhere that odors occur!
NOTE: "Nok Out" should not be used to spray in the air as an aerosol. It is best used on the source of the odor!
Toys and Other Shared Items and Surfaces
Either spray directly on toy/surface or wash in a Nok Out Odor Eliminator cleaning solution of 1/2 cup Nok Out per gallon of water. Will act as a disinfectant and help prevent the spread of odor sources.
Urine, Diarrhea, Vomit, and Blood
- Spray the air.
- Spray the problem area.
- Clean up the problem area.
Completely remove blood from the area using water prior to applying Nok Out Odor Eliminator.
Vehicles
Spray into the air intakes for the heater and air conditioning system (located between the hood and windshield). This should be done with the windows rolled up, the engine running and the heat or air conditioning fan turned on high. Atomize Nok Out Odor Eliminator into the cabin area, then spray the interior area starting with the headliner. Let the vehicle run for 3-5 minutes, then roll down the windows or open the door to air the vehicle out for a few minutes.
- Air Borne Odors: For urine, stool, kennel, perfumes, pet odors (diseased skin, teeth, etc.) simply spray Nok Out Odor Eliminator into the air or disperse via a cold atomizer at a dilution of 236 ml/8oz per gallon of water. For larger areas or to eliminate musty air conditioner and duct odors, spray the air filters until moist, but not wet, and let fan circulate the air. In a humidifier add 118 ml/4 oz of Nok Out Odor Eliminator directly to the clean surface.
- Urine, Diarrhea, Vomit, and Blood:
- Spray the air.
- Spray the problem.
- Clean up the problem.
Completely remove blood from the area using water prior to applying Nok Out Odor Eliminator. - Anal Glands: Empty the glands into a paper towel that has been soaked with Nok Out Odor Eliminator. Spray the rectal area liberally with Nok Out Odor Eliminator and wipe dry. The pet will go home odor free.
- Pet Odors: Nok Out Odor Eliminator will not irritate the skin of dogs or cats, and is non-toxic. The pet can be sprayed liberally to generally deodorize the pet.
- Cat Litter Boxes: Spray daily with Nok Out Odor Eliminator and have NO odor. Helps owners to control "finicky" cats that don't like a dirty box. Spray liberally on the bottom of a clean litter box, allow to air dry.

I found out about Nok Out at a pet show. Works great on everything. I was amazed to find out that it can even get rid of the scent from my husband's hockey equipment!!!
